A journey between New York and Paris to discover the must-haves for the next fall-winter season, among which Maglificio Pini’s creations too are protagonists.
As we have already recounted, the trends for the next FW 24/25 season range in inspirations between baroque art, cartography and pop. Silhouettes and sumptuous fabrics were also the undisputed protagonists of the collections presented during New York and Paris Fashion Weeks. On the runaways, between February and March, the garments developed by Maglificio Pini helped to give shape to multifaceted ideas, capable of truly making each garment a work of art.
From runaways to collections: the trends that define the season
From the runaway shows several key trends emerge to influence the coming fall and winter season:
- Transparency and sensuality: Khaite led the way with dresses that reveal skin in a refined and playful way, amid delicate meshes and sensual draping.
- Sculptural dresses: the silhouette was the absolute protagonist, with defined lines and important volumes; thus come structured knit garments, able to enhance the figure with elegance and modernity.
- Fringes for a touch of movement: fringes continue to embellish garments, giving them a touch of dynamism and personality, made from fine yarns and sophisticated workmanship.
- Oversized love: comfortable and warm, oversized sweaters and scarves are a must have to protect yourself from the cold without forgetting elegance, as in Brandon Maxwell’s runaway shows.
In general, contrasts in materials and settings dominate: contrasting fabrics, such as delicate transparencies and full-bodied knits, create a fascinating play of shapes.
Prints and monochromes for an eclectic palette
Among the fall colors live green, chocolate, red in all its shades, ochre, silver gray and electric blue dominate. Alongside the protagonists of the color palette, it is possible to play with bold patterns and pairings:
- Leopard print revisited: a timeless classic that is renewed with the jacquard technique and a black and white palette, as with Galvan London.
- Bold monochrome: a single color, declined in all shades, dominates the scene with rich color palettes and intense hues.
So, while year after year trends transform and look to the future, at Maglificio Pini we don’t forget mastery and attention to detail that have always accompanied us. This is one of our secrets to keeping up with the times and looking ahead without fear of venturing into the new.
