The renewed collaboration results in five looks that combine craftsmanship and contemporary style

Pitti Filati 96 was the perfect occasion to renew the collaboration between Maglificio Pini and Filati Be.Mi.Va., two historic companies in the field of Made in Italy knitwear. This year too, we created the garments that adorned the mill’s stand, giving life to five looks that combine technical mastery, a nod to the latest fashion trends and a great deal of creativity.

Intercepting new trends

Each garment of the collection is the result of an accurate and meticulous job, aimed at highlighting materials, shapes and details. The objective? To create unique pieces that combine craftsmanship quality and contemporary taste.

The colors chosen are neutral and versatile, in line with the light yarns used, and range from optical white to natural. The combinations, overlaps and color contrasts reveal next season’s trends, bringing a breath of fresh air.

The five looks of the collection

The sampling team at Maglificio Pini didn’t back down and, as always, took on the new challenge with enthusiasm, creativity and expertise, turning it into five proposals that caught the attention of anyone walking by the stand.

So, what are the characteristics of the looks created, which are able to highlight both the quality of materials and the complexity of workmanship?

 Overlaps and hand-made details

A translucent, natural-colored, cross-grain knitted, jersey viscose peplum tank top gives a glimpse of a structured jute and cotton top. The top is characterized by an inlay that ends in integral fringes crocheted like the straps. The look is completed by a skirt that combines two viscose yarns for an “ostrich effect” and that is characterized by a smooth upper part and a fringed lower part, in perfect continuity with the top.

 Trompe-l’oeil effect

The protagonist of this look is a sleeveless intarsia blazer in nylon and viscose on the finest gauge. The sheer underlayer and the intarsia simulate a trompe-l’oeil effect, despite being a single piece. The look is completed by a transparent tubular nylon crewneck with tipping collar, cuffs and bottom hem in natural-colored viscose.

 Structured shapes

A sleeveless inlay dress, matching a wide skirt and a belt at the waistband, is characterized by floating inlay threads at the neck drop and by fringes at the sides. Made of silk-cotton and wool-cotton blends, the garment is peculiar for the use of a thermosetting yarn, which allowed to obtain a stiffer effect through heat pressing.

 Light contrasts

A suit consisting of a pierced over-jacket in two-colored cotton, with pockets and coulisse, matches a sleeveless under-jacket in ultra-fine viscose. The look is completed by a pair of shorts in Milano stitch, in viscose too, with front pockets and a back pocket, in the same colorway as the over-jacket.

 Minimalist elegance

A cable poloshirt in natural white cotton, made of hand-trimmed linked panels, is the heart of this look. The polo matches a pair of sheer jersey cargo pants in cotton, with integral pockets and appliqués on their flaps.

Together, for Made in Italy excellence

Renewing their collaboration, Maglificio Pini and Be.Mi.Va. continue to demonstrate that the teamwork and synergy between two companies with a long history can give life to unique state-of-the-art garments. For years we have been committed not only to keeping up with fashion demands, but also to looking for new paths towards the future.
